Care that feels like family, where people come first.
Cheltenham and Cotswold Care was founded in 2025 by Ashley McCarthy following first-hand experience of navigating the care system while supporting a loved one.
This experience provided valuable insight into the complexities of accessing care and highlighted how challenging the process can be for families during demanding and emotional times.
What became clear was the need for a more consistent, person-centred approach….one that prioritises dignity, clarity and individual needs. Ashley recognised the importance of care that is well-coordinated, thoughtfully delivered and focused on the person as a whole, inspiring the creation of a service built around these principles.
Driven by compassion and first-hand understanding, Ashley established Cheltenham and Cotswold Care to offer high-quality domiciliary care across Cheltenham and the surrounding areas, built on empathy, trust and genuine human connection. The vision was clear…. to simplify the care journey, ease the burden on families and ensure every person feels heard, respected and valued.
At the heart of the business, is the belief that care should be shaped around people. Every decision is guided by the individual’s needs, preferences and dignity, ensuring care is delivered with consistency, kindness and professionalism.
Cheltenham and Cotswold Care exists because of lived experience and a determination to turn that experience into meaningful, compassionate support for others.
Our approach to care
Cheltenham & Cotswold Care Ltd is a regulated provider of domiciliary care services supporting adults across Cheltenham and the surrounding Cotswold areas.
We provide safe, effective and person-centred care to individuals in their own homes, supporting people to live with dignity, independence and choice. Our services are delivered in line with our Statement of Purpose, Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and relevant UK legislation and best practice guidance.
Our Commitment
At Cheltenham Care, we understand that welcoming someone into your home requires trust. We are committed to delivering care that is respectful, reliable and responsive to individual needs.
We take the time to understand what matters to each person we support. Care is planned and delivered around individual needs, preferences and outcomes, ensuring people remain at the centre of all decisions.
How We Deliver Care
Before care begins, we complete a comprehensive assessment to understand care needs, risks and preferences. From this assessment, personalised care plans and risk assessments are developed and regularly reviewed.
Care is delivered by trained and supported Care Professionals who follow agreed care plans, work within their competence and authorisation, and are supported through supervision, training and ongoing oversight.
Safety, Quality and Governance
Cheltenham Care operates a robust quality assurance and governance framework. This includes regular audits, spot checks, supervision, incident review, safeguarding oversight and continuous improvement planning.
We are committed to openness, honesty and learning. Feedback from people who use our service, their families and professionals is welcomed and used to strengthen the quality of care we provide.
Working With Families and Professionals
We work in partnership with individuals, families, health professionals and other agencies to ensure care is coordinated, responsive and effective.

My Commitment to You
With many years of experience in health and social care, I am passionate about delivering safe, reliable and truly person‑centred support. Every person we support is unique and so is the care we provide. My job is to ensure that:
You feel listened to
Your preferences shape your care
You are treated with respect, kindness and compassion
Your safety and wellbeing always come first
You receive consistent, high‑quality support from people you can rely on
Our Team
I am incredibly proud of our team of care professionals. Each member is carefully chosen not only for their skills and training, but for their warmth, empathy and commitment to delivering exceptional care.
We invest in continual training, ongoing supervision and a positive working culture so that our carers feel supported, because if we take care of our staff, they can take care of you.
